The Addo Elephant National Park is situated a short 20km by road from Chicane B&B and is a must visit for outdoor and wildlife enthusiasts. The Park was established in 1931 to save the remaiing 11 Elephants, on the brink of extinction. Home to Elephant, Lion, Cape Buffalo, Black Rhino, the rare Flightless Dung Beetle and a range of Antelope species, the Addo Elephant Park offers a range of outdoor adventure activities, which include horse back game viewing and horse riding, guided walks, hiking, 4x4 trails, park tours and a picnic area for day visitors.
